Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a therapeutic method used to encourage natural self-healing, reduce or relieve symptoms and improve the function of affected areas of the body.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of extremely fine sterile needles through the skin and tissue at specific points along the meridians. There are more than 1,000 points within this meridian system.
Acupuncture heals by balancing energy within the body. While each person experiences acupuncture differently, most people feel only a minimal amount of sensation as the needles are inserted. Once the needles are inmost of our patients feel a sense of deep relaxation, & even sleepiness!

Cupping

Cupping is one of the oldest methods of traditional Chinese medicine. The earliest recorded use of cupping dates to the early fourth century, when the noted herbalist Ge Hong wrote about a form of cupping in A Handbook of Prescriptions. Later books written during the Tang and Qing dynasties described cupping in great detail; one textbook included an entire chapter on “fire jar qi,” a type of cupping that could alleviate headaches, dizziness and abdominal pain.

Acupressure

Acupressure is an ancient art of healing believed by some people to be even older than acupuncture. It involves the use of the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Pressing on these points relieves muscle tension, which promotes the circulation of blood and Qi to aid in the healing process.

Herbal Consultation

Working with a clinical herbalist is a wonderful way to empower your healing journey and receive guidance and support. A 30 minutes initial consultation is recommended for all new clients. This initial session includes a look at your total health history and health goals. A complete review of symptom patterns, lifestyle, nutrition, and emotional/mental/spiritual health patterns will be explored.
